If you haven’t heard about it already, today is International Women’s Day which is held every year on the 8th February. This day has been observed since the early 1900’s, a time which witnessed a rapid population growth and change in the industrial world.
All over the globe events are being held to mark this date and recognise the achievements of women and to inspire others. Events range from political rallies to fashion parades, with everything in between. Even global corporations have begun to support IWD by running their own events and lending support to external ones.
If you wish to read more and get involved you should visit the IWD site here because women can make a difference.
