What a fantastic idea! Get together a group of attractive ladies with varying levels of disability to compete to become Britains Missing Top Model. It’s a thought provoking 6 program series with the winning model winning a fashion shoot for a top fashion magazine.
It’s ground breaking and challenging on many levels. We are all used to seeing the perfect catwalk models but these girls have disabilities to overcome to be a contestant. Can this new series being shown on BBC Three at 9pm be the interface between disability and acceptability that helps us all to be more understanding and less judgemental about beauty?
After all this show is sending home the fact that true beauty isn’t about perfection.
I for one will be watching and I hope that the series turns out to be both enlightening and thought provoking.
