| Shopping for me is boring, I have never been one of those people who has to have the latest thing or yet another pair of shoes to sit in the wardrobe with the other 98 pairs. Probably too practical for my own good. Clothing is worn until it falls of me, none of this seasons thing. In fact it makes me smile when the clothing bags come through the door to be filled and left at the bottom of the driveways.I never put anything out.
We once had a nexdoor neighbour who was a “keeping up with the Jones'” type, had to have the latest everything. She would put a bag out every month for collection. I wonder if she still does that now that the recession has hit… Anyway back to what I was about to tell you. We were shopping in the local supermarket and I had slipped in to auto pilot. We usually buy more or less the same things but use them in different recipes or for different days, so not a lot of thought goes in to the actual buying process. We are well familiar with the isles and the goods on them. But on the last shopping run I had to buy in for a dinner party, which took me to a rarely visited isle. The one with the chocolate on it. As you know I’m not a big fan of chocolate. In fact I just remembered I have a couple of boxes of Thorntons (for those who don’t know, Thorntons are exquisite chocolatiers. Try some next time you visit the UK). I was pleasantly surprised and amused by a new range they are carrying. When I got back I looked them up on the internet. The chocolate is by a New Zealand company called Bloomsberry and they makes chocolate and wrap it up in covers which include the one above and the likes of Bochox, Dechox and Emergency Chocolate. Despite me not liking chocolate this amusing range of confectionary just made me want to buy, just to give it to someone and put a smile on their face.
