Don’t get me wrong here, I like Jean Paul Gaultier as a bloke. He’s funny, charming and honest when I’ve seen him interviewed. I even like a lot of his clothes, which for a designer of couture fashion is saying a lot as I think most contemporary runway fashion is impractical bollocks.

However Jean Paul Gaultier is responsible for one huge crime against fashion. The cone bra, as worn by Madonna on her “Blonde Ambition” tour. It’s very theatrical but not very attractive IMHO.

Not content with doing it once he’s showing the cone bra this year on the catwalks at London fashion week.

Please Jean Paul stop it at once – C’est un crime de mode.
