  1. I love this film! It is an advert for one of several shops that lie just on the German side of the German/Danish border and sell cheap booze, soft drinks, domestic appliances etc to overly-taxed Danes. The taxes are so high there, with extra duties on such diverse things as cd-roms and windscreen washer fluid (True!), plus 25%VAT on EVERYTHING, that it is well worth driving a long way beacuse of the savings involved.

    Fleggards’ slogan is ‘just the other side of the border’ (ie to Germany and to good taste) and they have had adverts on tv in Denmark featuring a flatbed lorry driving round full of topless girls, luring people to the store. You can see more on http://www.fleggard.dk
