Hellish Orgy

We’re off to do some shopping tomorrow morning. To do so at this time of year is to witness an orgy of consumption that defies belief. We have just a few things to buy and then we can avoid the shops before the big day.

That is a huge relief because the shopping centre will be heaving with people shuffling around in scenes reminiscent of George Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead.

For me shopping is a necessary evil, to some people it’s a lifestyle.

  1. Get the bit on your blog about people shuffling around while shopping. Sometimes when out shopping I meet zombies moving slowly and aimlessly around the market place and shops.Frighteningly I sometimes find myself losing interest and consentration while out shopping and slowing down instead of pounding the pavement in my shopping mission and in so doing realize that I have become one of those zombies that irritate me so ! No wonder then shoppings not for me. Thats a remarkably beautiful photograph of you dressed as girlychristmas, you are lovely. So merry christmas to you. Love Norman

  2. i hate shopping now. i see creeps touching strange women. the arguments about sale items.the whole thing is crazy.
2 cheers for the internet shopping

  3. Mass consumption is a lifestyle for many people and that’s why many people are in debt. They buy things they really don’t need but buy it to keep a certain image of themselves.
