As a child and in to my early teens I spent many a good holiday away with family. We went abroad three times a year and a family favourite was Italy. So we went there quite a lot. I just wish my parents had been a little more adventurous in their choice of resort.<\/p>\n
When we could have afforded to go to places like the USA, Canada and Australia we visited Europe and didn’t stray towards the unusual or exotic. And now I am older and able to visit them myself I don’t have the funds to do so. Isn’t life a bugger sometimes. Lol<\/p>\n
One day\u2026<\/p>\n
I was inspired to write this post by “Mummy’s Boy” at work. This guy only left his mother and moved in to his own house about 6 months ago. He had lived the first 37 years of his life with her and consequently he is a little short of female interaction skills.<\/p>\n
He quite often chats to me when I am in the kitchen at work and he is so na\u00c3\u00afve about the world in general let alone relationships and sexuality. It is quite sweet but at the same time he is a little weird.<\/p>\n
On Friday I was in the kitchen and in he came. We got chatting and he divulged that he booked a long weekend in Amsterdam. I had to ask the question with a smile. “Are you taking you mum with you?” expecting him to say no.<\/p>\n
“Yes”, he replied. I suppressed the smile and continued to wash my cup with my back to him. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything else for trying to stave off the laughter.<\/p>\n
Now there are family holiday and there are family holidays and I don’t really think that an elderly woman would particularly want to go to Amsterdam. Or am I wrong?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
