Red Hot And Chocolate
I just watched Tiffany “I Think We’re Alone Now” on YouTube. Bit of a nostalgia trip for me, but quite amusing. Not because of Tiffany directly rather because of one of the comments made by some pre-pubescent div.
I quote “Is she still alive. If so how old is she?”
When I stopped laughing I realised that kids imagine that you die at around 35 because that’s 20 years older than they are.
This cult of youth that seems to have taken over the world is quite damaging. It devalues experience and attempts to supersede it with fresh-faced blind ignorance.
Now I know that young bodies are generally smooth and toned and full of energy. However while appreciating young bodies I must say that my aspirations to get one in bed died when I stopped being young and found that experience counts for rather a lot.
Yes there’s a lot to be said for the initial excitement and discovery of your own sexuality and that of your partner. But that all pails into insignificance when you compare it with a partner who has experience and the ability to express their desire in a way which is not restricted by youthful embarrassment but enhanced by years of practice and experimentation.
Right, I’m off to find some vinyl to play. Then I have to find a turntable to play it on, that might prove more difficult … Shit!
