Japanese Toilet Humour

OK, so this isn’t meant to be humorous but the image embedded in this post really had me tickled. I speak very little Japanese as a recent encounter with a trade delegation demonstrated, just enough to help oil the wheels of international trade. LOL

So I suppose I really shouldn’t take the piss, but there you go … I couldn’t even resist a pun.

To redress the balance might I just say that Japanese toilets (“Toire” トイレ) are some of the most sophisticated in the world with up to 50% of houses being fitted with Woshuretto (ウォシュレット) by the famous Toto of Japan. These bidet lavatories come with a bewildering array of features on top of the normal bidet cleansing functions.

For Japanese business people visiting the UK we must seem almost medieval.
