Sex In The Office – Going Down In Russia
This is an old (2008) newspaper story which makes me laugh and makes me very, very sad in almost equal measure.
Quite how in the 21st century anyone can think it’s OK to treat women as second class citizens and attempt to justify it in this way I don’t know.
I’m a big believer that porn is a good thing so long as it’s viewed by the right audience and doesn’t present the performers/models as de-humanised objects. Of course there is a lot of porn that does that and there is a huge bias towards porn featuring less than empowered females. I’d love there to be more porn that is genuinely female and couple friendly but with this sort of attitude still persisting in the world that seems a long way away.
To realise that half of the population of Russia seems to be denied the basic respect due to them is astonishing. Does this attitude permeate the rest of Russian life? I hope not.
