The fabulous series Ashes To Ashes back on BBC1 on. We will see the return of all our favourite characters fro the third and last A2A series, mine are obviously Gene Hunt and in second place Ray. Now who couldn’t love Ray. 🙂

If you haven’t seen both Life On Mars (first two series) and the first two Ashes To Ashes series I suggest you catch up with them on boxed set DVD.

Whilst watching I found myself wondering why so many women, me included, found Gene so HOT! Yes, I’ve been out with some tough guys in my past but they ended up treating me like shit, not exactly what I was looking for.

It occurred to me that what you need is the right blend of good and bad. He can be tough and assertive, protective if you like. We all like to feel that our man can keep us safe and protect us from the nasty world. But we also appreciate a guy who can make us feel wanted and loved.

This is where the balance comes in, too much of both can upset the blend but when you get it just right like the persona of Gene then women swoon.
