Deep Throat Redux
I’ve just read that Lindsay Lohan is to play the part of 70’s pornstar, Linda Lovelace in a new biopic. Real name Linda Susan Boreman grossed high a reported £395 million at the box office for her trademark film Deep Throat.
The film was banned here in the UK but I do recall finding a copy of the book some years later stowed away in my mum’s possessions. And yes I did read it from cover to cover over a period of days when my parents weren’t in. I recall the excitement of getting the book out of its hiding place, reading a little and with my heart fluttering returning it to exactly the same place.
As I sit here now, I just realised I still haven’t seen the film I’ll have to see if I can locate a copy. The biopic to be entitled Inferno will show the other side of the woman we know for perfecting a now pre requisite act in porn.
I didn’t realise that she claims to have been forced in to the industry by her violent and controlling husband Chuck Traynor and later campaigned against pornography.

My Mom told me Deep Throat somehow got to be an acceptable movie for middle class Americans to check out back in 1971.
She went. The theatre in town was packed for the first showing. When the mob exited, Mom said they looked shell shocked. But they stayed until the end.
She said it was kind of a spoofy sex film with a woman swallowing huge cocks to the hilt. Lame jokes such as one bit where the man was drinking Coca Cola from the woman’s vagina. He looks up and says: ‘Things really do go better with Coke.’
A GF of mine saw the film and fell in love with giving blow jobs. She’s a real hit with the guys.
